When the news is all bad - Art can bring us Joy. This art show is all about what brings YOU joy. What have you created that made you smile, giggle, or warmed the cockles of your heart. We are accepting all types of art from all levels of Calaveras artists. The only criteria is that is brings you J O Y.
We are on a tight deadline, so it can be a piece you have already created or if you get inspired, something completely new.

- Call Opens: April 12, 2026
- Submission Deadline: April 23, 2026
- Opening April 25, 2026 Ending May 30, 2026 All art work must be removed by June 2, 2026. Art not picked up will be shipped to the artist as the artist's expense.
- Artwork Delivery to Calaveras County Arts Council between April 16 - 23 | 22 North Main Street, San Andreas. The Gallery is open Tuesday - Saturday 11am - 4pm.
Eligibility
- A living artist residing in or maintaining strong community ties in Calaveras County
- All artistic disciplines are welcome. Musicians, writers and storytellers may choose the format that best represents their work to submit.
- Each submission must include:
- An artist statement and biography.
- Retail price (if for sale). You will be required to fill out a W2 if you plan to sell your work.
- Artist’s social media handles.
- If submitting multiple pieces of work for consideration, please complete a form submission for EACH separate piece.
- Artwork must be framed to a professional standard and ready to hang or otherwise equipped with proper installation hardware. Artists must provide any special display materials or equipment (e.g., pedestals, digital display).
- Artists are responsible for insuring their work, optional
- Artists must grant permission for the use of their artwork images (in whole or in part) in exhibition publications, marketing, and promotional materials.
- Sold artwork must remain in the exhibition until the tour concludes
- All sales will be processed through a single online point of sale administered by the Calaveras Arts Council
- The commission will be 80% for the artist / 20% for the partners, payable within 30 days.
