Jeannie Vodden’s
art studio is located in the small, quaint Gold Country town of Mokelumne Hill,
California.
Jeannie is a full time professional painter and a popular watercolor teacher.
She demonstrates her watercolor skills for artists’ groups, schools, county and
state fairs and community organizations.
Working primarily in watercolor, and recently in oil, Jeannie is a realistic painter with poetic sensibilities. She uses heightened color to bring more life and emotion to her images. She is inspired by the love of friends and family, by the intricacy and beauty of nature and by the exuberance of childhood. She is a versatile painter of portraits, still life, nature and fantasy scapes.
Jeannie’s watercolors have been accepted into the prestigious 2000 and 2002 Crocker Kingsley art exhibitions at the Crocker Art Museum, Sacramento, Ca. She has also been an award winner in the Haggin Museum of Art in Stockton, Ca. She has won Awards of Excellence and Merit in many California State Fair Fine Art exhibitions, as well as garnered many Best of Show awards in art competitions throughout Northern California. Her work is included many private and public collections throughout the U.S. and in England, including two purchases from The Friends of the Fair, State of California, permanent fine art collection.
Her work can be seen at The Smith Gallery in Sacramento, Ca., Mixed Media Mercantile in Boulder Creek, Ca., and coming soon, the new Knowlton Gallery in Lodi, Ca., as well as periodically in many other galleries in the Sacramento, Stockton and the foothill areas,.
