Artist Statement:
My name is Ozlos and I am an expressionist artist based in Stockton, California. I offer my own original colorful modern paintings, art prints, and now also crafts. Some of my work is more expressive through simple abstracted forms and contrasting colors focusing more on raw feeling than form or subject matter. Another part of my work is a culmination of my thoughts and experiences through the filter of being Mexican-American.
My art is about meaning vs meaninglessness and American pop culture vs Mexican traditional culture. I have to get the expression out by whatever medium necessary before the idea is lost.
The free-flowing looseness of my art style promotes openness and diversity through it being open to many interpretations.
