Raku Vase by Amanda Sedgwick-Maule
This pot is a raku pot fired in a gas kiln. It is fired to 1825 degrees and removed when it is blazing hot and placed in a reduction chamber lined with organic material. Then the piece will ignite in fire as a lid is placed on top to seal up the air creating the reduction. After 20-30 minutes we open and the beautiful colors are revealed.
This piece is not food safe or should not have water stored in it as the clay is porous and will leak.
Vase is 12" tall
